It's Red Ribbon Week! Plan on joining in the fun by dressing differently each day!

October 15 - 19, 2012
Math - Working on decimals...comparing, rounding, adding and subtracting.
Science - Wrapping up our unit on physical and chemical changes. We will test Monday or Tuesday of next week.
October 1 - 5, 2012
We will continue to have word problems for homework this week (We will do this all year.)
Unit Tests will be returned Tuesday for math and science.
Some experiments are coming up for physical and chemical changes.
Don't forget we will be out of school October 8- 10 for a fall break!!!
September 24 - 28, 2012
We will continue to have word problems for homework this week (We will do this all year.)
Math - UNIT TEST ON TUESDAY! It will cover multiplication, division, powers of 10 and order of operations. Use your study guide to STUDY!
New unit will start Thursday on adding and subtracting decimals and decimal place value.
Science - CHAPTER 4 TEST TUESDAY! You have a study guide to help you study for the test. Make sure you know your vocabulary!
Next section will be on physical and chemical reactions! Some fun demonstrations are planned!
September 10 - 14, 2012
Continue working on your math homework of two problems each night. We will continue working on division.
Science - We are starting a new unit on physical science this week and will make "oobleck" this week. The questions is....Is it a solid or a liquid?

Math - Homework as usual Wednesday night and Thursday.
We are starting division this week. Be ready for another game soon!
Science - If your project is not in, please get it in by Friday. Unit test Friday!
Week of August 27 - 31
Math - continue doing two word problems a night and your bonus problem for Friday. Remember you can earn a Bear Buck if it is correct and you show your work.
Multiplication Quiz on Friday and a Math Box Quiz (review skills) on Friday.
Science - don't forget to be working on those science projects!

ReplyDeleteMath homework will be on one sheet this week including a bonus problem. Two word problems each night for Monday through Thursday. Students should show all their work. Earn a bonus buck for a correctly solved bonus problem with work shown!
Math - we will review Order of Operations, continue with powers of 10, take a quiz and move on to multiplication of whole numbers.
Science - we will practice writing experiments using the scientific method, send out our assignment for an at home project, and work on how to create an acceptable graph. Busy week!
